News sources we watch
Everything this site can say about the news starts with what it reads. This page lists every configured publisher, who rates its bias and on what scale, what we actually observed when we inspected its feed, and whether any capture has run for it. Where something is unsettled it is written down rather than rounded off.
An outlet rating is not a truth rating. The labels below describe a publisher's overall lean as an outside agency assessed the publisher. They say nothing about whether any particular article is accurate, and nothing on this site scores a story with them.
Positions are not comparable between agencies. The publishers below are assessed by agencies using different scales. Each strip is drawn on its own agency's scale, so a marker further left than another source's marker is a display position, not a measured distance between the two.
The colors never carry meaning on their own. Left of center is drawn to the left and tinted blue, right of center to the right and tinted red. Every strip is repeated in words next to it, naming the agency, its category, the score and the scale.

What this selection does not settle
- Five selected outlets supply left-end, two Center-rated sources (BBC and libertarian Reason), and right-end coverage; agency categories remain verbatim.
- Feed windows are finite and article access can vary; repeated bounded samples do not establish long-term uptime.
- The Hill and Christian Science Monitor are excluded from this selection: sampled article access was blocked or restricted, despite accessible RSS summaries.
- Agency score divided by its scale endpoint for display only; agencies are not quantitatively interchangeable.
- Agency score divided by its scale endpoint for display only; agencies are not quantitatively interchangeable. AllSides rates Reason Center (libertarian); MBFC separately rates it Right-Center (3.8 on -10 to 10, July 2, 2026).
