RBG PAC ran ads claiming Trump shares Ruth Bader Ginsburg's abortion position ('On this issue, great minds think alike') and featuring Trump saying he would not sign a federal ban. Registering one day past the disclosure deadline hid the Musk funding source from voters until after Election Day.

Elon Musk deployed at least $290 million in disclosed federal political spending during the 2024 cycle, the largest individual political donation in documented U.S. history. His primary vehicle, America PAC (FEC: C00879510), was founded in May 2024 nominally for grassroots canvassing but functioned as a full-service operation for Donald Trump across seven swing states, and received a formal FEC exception allowing voter-turnout data-sharing with the Trump campaign itself. A second vehicle, RBG PAC (FEC: C00891291), spent $20.5M on abortion-framing ads and registered one day past the last pre-election disclosure deadline, hiding its funder until after Election Day. A third channel, the dark-money 501(c)(4) Building America's Future, raised nearly $100M in 2024 including a $74.5M anonymous donation, and ran deceptive 'false flag' digital campaigns made to look like progressive pro-Harris content.
After Trump won, Musk kept spending. America PAC poured ~$14.5M into the April 2025 Wisconsin Supreme Court race for Republican Brad Schimel, who lost by 10 points. On May 20, 2025, Musk said he would 'do a lot less' political spending. Within weeks he resumed; by mid-2026 he ranked as the third-largest donor of the midterm cycle at ~$85M, behind only Andreessen Horowitz and George Soros.

Caveat: the $74.5M anonymous donor is not formally confirmed as Musk. The case is circumstantial.
